Although I'm not typically a fan of pubs, I really enjoy the Hogs Head. I still remember the grand opening in the late 90s when our group was invited. I was so excited that I tripped over myself rushing in.
It's fantastic to have a pub located close to the university that offers a wide variety of gluten-free options on their menu. The salads are delicious and include a variety of vegetables. The staff is very friendly and...
We recently went for a bottomless brunch at this restaurant. It was different from our previous visit as the table setup was not ideal, with some of us having our backs to our friends. We felt overcharged for what we got, especially since there was no prosecco this time. The host was friendly, but the service was lacking as we only received a few drinks. One of our friends had their food order forgotten, causing them to eat after everyone else. My chicken karaage burger was enjoyable, but the pizzas were undercooked and doughy - I am a professional pizza chef and could tell they were not cooked properly. Overall, I would rate our experience a 4/10 and we will not be returning. It was not worth the £30 we paid, feeling like a rip off.
Great meeting place, super outside space. Good number of bar staff. Haven't eaten there so cannot comment.
