Alex's - Wood River Junction

This cute restaurant was a two minute walk from the Doubletree hotel. Charming decor with a comfortable atmosphere. Karen our waitress was a sweet , funny little lady who was right on with her service. The menu is vast . The portions amazing and the coffee is great. (or at least better than mine). You won't regret it.

Had a great experience at Alex’s, friendly and attentive service, great burgers and extra crispy fries. They also had lots of Vegan/ Vegetarian options. I got a veggie burger and loved it! Would certainly return next time I'm in Poughkeepsie!

Quiche Lorraine New England clam chowder: an unlikely nice pairing. Wish I'd split this into two meals, because it's quite a large portion.

So gave Alex's a try. I ordered the full stack pancakes (3) with scrambled eggs and bacon along with a chocolate milk. The pancakes were ok nothing special same with the eggs and bacon. The chocolate milk barely tasted like anything. The service is great and the atmosphere is great. Little Cafe style/restaurant thats been here for a while. However, I wasn't impressed as this was my 1st time eating here but I will give them another try another day. Also parking is a pain if you didn't know
