Giovanni was the most courteous and attentive waiter we've ever encountered. The service he provided was truly deserving of a 5-star rating! You absolutely must visit this restaurant if you're looking for a fantastic experience with delicious food and great music. From start to finish, everything was exemplary! If you decide to go, be sure to ask for Giovanni! This is the best spot on Jamaica Avenue! I absolutely love this place!

Pros: The food and service are excellent. I’ve visited multiple times and have never experienced rude service, contrary to what some others have reported. The Bolón is incredible, and the humitas are smooth and delightful. The steak is well-cooked and well-seasoned. Cons: While it’s a good place for families, it’s not ideal if you have a baby because there are no changing tables available. I had to hold my son up while my wife changed him, which wasn’t the best experience. The upstairs bathroom is spacious, so it would be great if they could install a changing table there!

My experience at this restaurant with my husband was fantastic. The service was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and beautifully maintained. If you're looking for a great drink, I highly recommend asking Giovanni; he makes the best cocktails and provides excellent customer service! He engages wonderfully with guests, making you feel right at home. Thank you for an amazing experience at the Tropical Restaurant in Jamaica!

The food is good and the service was exceptional Gloria and the other waitress when about giving us an amazing experience that I love the place and of course I will soon be back

Best Ecuadorian food in Woodhaven. Ceviche is perfect. Must try the Carne Asada with rice and beans
