Hobson Express

Uhahaha i found nice place!!! northern style (bei fang chinese) do not expect any additional vege comes with! if you ordered chicken? just chicken comes! if you ordered eggplant? just eggplant come! but it's 5 star! perfect done main does not need any side vege. haha so yum!

I went to this restaurant today with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is a hidden gem and we were pleasantly surprised by how great the food was. I've had minced chicken and corn soup before but this was by far the best I've had. The size of the soup was enough for 4 servings. I ordered sweet and sour pork with rice and could tell right away the chicken had been marinated as in they took time to cook that bad boy, which is why I was even more amazed that the wait time was so short. I can't remember what my friend ordered but essentially it was pork, potatoes, and rice. We sampled each others food and ended up going for seconds from each others share hahahah. Nah man, I had to write a solid review to big up this place. My friend and I definitely plan on returning with more friends!

I go here when I get really lazy to cook. Pretty homely meals I’ve tried their dumplings, fried rice, and fried noodles from here. Dumplings and the noodles are pretty decent, but the fried rice is always quite bland for some reason.

Hobson Express is a lovely little shop to pop into if you want a homey meal. I'm a sucker for their Crispy Chicken with Chilli Sauce on rice, BEAUTIFUL combination, just as delicious as their Crispy Chicken (half/whole), well seasoned with garlic and their fried rice of all flavours. I use to work a few doors down from Hobson Express a couple years ago and I sometimes miss visiting this place on my lunch hour. Great place to eat!
