We booked Onemata for lunch and had the 2 course and 3 course meals and had the most wonderful time. Perfect food, service and atmosphere. It was also my parent’s 30th wedding anniversary and they had prepared an extra dessert with ‘Congratulations’ on it. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality We will be back very soon!
We enjoyed a sumptuous degustation dinner paired with Craggy Range wines. Flavours of the food and the winemaker’s description of the wines were amazing and would highly recommend the restaurant and winery to any local or visitor to Auckland or the winery in Napier!
Amazing food in general although one dish which is fish of the day could have been done better. Was not as fresh as expected. Other than that no complaints
Visited during Restaurant month for lunch to take advantage of their $55 menu. Tried the Mushroom and Mozzarella dish and the Braised Short Rib with a glass of Craggy Range Te Kahu. Whilst the mushroom dish was nice, the mozzarella was merely a foam which was strange but the overall flavour was good, just nothing special. The braised short rib unfortunately let them down. I’ve never had such tough short rib before. It was a struggle to get the meat off the bone. The parsnip purée and other components really worked so taste wise it was lovely but I really wished I had ordered the duck as I was expecting a tender melt in your mouth experience which they did not deliver.
