Great find, on our way to Cornwall from Suffolk did an overnight at this great hotel and pub. From arrival to departure the staff were friendly and professional making us feel so welcome, they could definitely give lessons to other establishments in the hospitality industry in the value of customers, just brilliant service. Excellent food and chat in the pub which is dog friendly and very people friendly. Ample, secure, free parking and clean spacious accommodation with the added bonus of a lake to walk around. Thank you all so much and hope to visit again soon. Ian, Jacky and Larry the dog.
We stayed in a family room, which was more like a mini chalet. We had our own front door outside, and there was a double bed with shower/bathroom downstairs followed by 2 single beds upstairs. The room was very clean, and the beds were super comfy. There was hardly any noise at night time, which led to a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious with a simple menu, but we'll cook. We had our own table each day. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Lots of free parking and easy to find.
£85 per room per night seems like a good deal. They have decent beer at the bar on tap, full English breakfast and a big car park at the back for mobile homes and camper vans. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
Lovely country pub next to fishing lake food was very good and we were well looked after by Amy who served us. Food drinks: The menu is a little underwhelming but the food was very good pub grub, we really enjoyed it. Hotel highlights: Quiet
