Pizza Express - York

I recommended that a group of us have come to york for a 40th day dinner in our night. before it was always my favorite choice for such a meeting, but unfortunately we had a really bad experience this time. Despite the pre-booking of an early 5:45... table (there were 13 of us including the young children) we had to wait over the half of our in the crowded foyer area. When we finally sat, we said we couldn't sit on the same table, so we have two tables close to each other. In view of the occasion and the fact that we had not seen in eternality, this was really disappointing. we tried to order quickly how the children got (understood grizzly, but the seemingly stressed staff insisted on making drinks first and then coming back for our food order. the food did not arrive until 7:15 (this was 1.5 hours after our first booking). the Legerra-Padana of my friend then arrived without goat cheese (the main ingredient had to be sent back and my pizza was overcooked. it was so disappointed and embarrassed in the special opportunity it should be.

The location is excellent, the building is amazing and very impressive. eating was nice enough. Unfortunately, the problems remained in the evening but only in the evening. we had to wait 25 minutes, even though we booked for which they apologized. no problem, it happens. when busy. pizza had ingredients not available that taste it nowhere near so beautiful. our waiter was great until we had our main thing, then it all took old. water never arrived that we ordered at the beginning. koks never arrived. the person who had made the baileys laugh had never done one before. he asked about the bill and waited 30 minutes. men loo had 1 cubic. for a restaurant with over 100 people. overall it could have been much better sad. I'm sure it would be great on another day, but at this moment was bad.

We came on a very busy Saturday and despite fully booked the manager did his best to sit all. after ten minutes waiting time we got a table and had a nice meal. the staff are a credit for this restaurant, the. manager and our waiter were so polite and friendly.

My own and my partner visited york over valentinstag and were initially a bit annoying with us to not book a restaurant in advance for valentine night. However, this pizza express was a short walk from our hotel and we knew we didn't go wrong. with it! I wish I knew what our server was called because they were absolutely brilliant. so polite, attentive and attentive. that was brilliant and the manager who welcomed us and allowed me to choose the table I would rather have made. I love Pizza Express and if we visit york again, we would come back to this special restaurant because the service was excellent.

We last visited here 3 years ago when on holiday and decided to give it a go again; we were not disappointed. It was Valentines Day but we managed to get a booking the same day. It was very busy and we had to wait...a bit longer than usual but we were kept informed and the waitress was calm and friendly. The food was good and hot and the tables cleaned between customers. As our booking for the following night elsewhere was cancelled we went back to PE on spec and were immediately found a table just in time as it was full again within half an hour on a Tuesday night in February!
