Isaac's East York

As a York resident, most of us that order from here KNOW it is too overpriced, which is fine, because the food is normally good. I gave this restaurant a break for a good 2 years, because the family has been able to find food at way better pricing and better portions, however I missed my favorite sandwich, the Firebird, and I wanted to get a little taste of nostalgia. Well, I’ve order Isaac’s twice this week, the first time was to eat my firebird, however I was quickly let down after finding out that it’s TOTALLY off the menu, so I ordered a ppj soup which was always a hit, and slimy southwest salad. Whatever, it’s just a salad, let’s try again later on in the week, right? WRONG. I ordered a LARGE corn chowder, and a magpie, and when I say, it was HORRIBLE, I was quite literally holding my puke in, and praying to god this isn’t food poising. The soup was SO THICK, with the consistency of mucus, it made me feel so sick after a couple bites. Then I move on to my magpie, hoping this meal can be redeemed. The samdwich was DRYER than the Sahara Desert, flavorless like my Nannie’s cooking, and most of all, a disappointment, considering the amount I paid. If I would’ve know how trifling it was all going to be, I would’ve gotten a smaller size, or maybe nothing at all. It’s dull outdated look doesn’t help me believe there’s love being put into this business, let alone the food. I think this restaurant needs A SERIOUS EVALUATION, and possibly a better chef. I don’t think returning to this restaurant was the best idea, if anything, I should’ve stayed away.

Just a run of the mill chain restaurant with nothing that really stands out. We've been here a few times with house guests, friends and neighbors so we have been able to have a variety of food here. The restaurant is fairly nice, but the quantity quality of the food is just Meh. Once we had our food we never saw our server again until she brought us the bill, even though the restaurant was not busy at the time we were there.

Dietary restrictions: I Was able to get the gluten free flatbread for my lunch sandwich!

We had a film shoot with a large number of people and Isaacs did the catering. They did an incredible job. We had last minute changes and they were super flexible and helpful. The food was delivered exactly on time and our people were very happy with the food and the portion sizes. We were also very happy with the price. Thank you Isaacs!!!!

It's acceptable. I would say that the prices are a big high for what you get.
