We made a lunch with cake and pasty. very tasty, good service, very cheap and we were able to sit in the cafe area from the cold
Now, after we have read some of the reviews, after we have disappointed this bakery, everything was sensible. we didn't want to waste our time and our money to stop there for very bad and rude customer service and over expensive, average cake. my partner and I were in a van, had little phone battery and water left. after ordering our cake my partner and I asked the worker at the theke whether they could fill our water bottles and charge our phones (we have been in a delivery car since over 2 weeks) the worker laughed rudely in our faces and suddenly said no. another worker went out from behind and went out of the laugh. we left our cakes that were incredibly unwilling. sure to say we will never return to a place where the workers do not show any care or empathy to their customers. thank you for the hospitality
I never wanted to go to this place again, was yelled at the COVID-Marshall, that I had to stand before sitting behind a counter piece and they would tell me! I am a COVID-Marshall myself and have never spoken to anyone like this in my life. I then found out that today morning other people in the caravan park in stansbury were abused by this lady and they told others that they did not go there and so we have. today we went to the coffee shop over the street and what a pleasant difference so friendly eating was to die and very good price and the staff went out of the way to be nice and we told them so well. I hope the bakery learns this, but I don't think they will.
AVOID! If you love rude staff and non existent customer service then step into the Yorktown Bakery. Absolutely horrible customer service from the youngish girl with glasses. She was rude, argumentative and disrespectful. When I spoke with a more senior staff member (who really was...lovely) she simply made excuses for her saying she was new and in training. If an individual of that age treats customers so poorly, I’m afraid there’s no amount of training that will help. You can teach skills, but to teach someone good customer service, the person would first need to give a **** and she certainly didn’t. If I didn’t have starving kids with me I would have walked out. Drive to the next town and save yourself the stress!
