Der Dorfstadl - Zell am See

The Der Dorfstadl is a traditional Austrian restaurant on the edge of Kaprun within easy walking distance of the village centre. The welcoming interior is traditional Austrian with some interesting and contemporary interior features. The menu is offered in English which is just as well...although the wine list can be a struggle to translate. In any event we had a great evening. The menu was interesting and all the dishes were freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Although the restaurant was busy and popular with locals, this didn't impact on the service but would suggest reserving a table makes good sense to avoid disappointment. Steak and game were both beautifully presented and delicious.

This time it was our third visit (diner) over some 15 years. It is nice to see that this restaurant keeps the quality and ambience over so many years so that we make sure to visit the place when we are somewhere near. I think...the reservation is necessary as the restaurant was fully booked when we were there (on Thursday). Our favourite are their steaks that you finally cook yourself on the hot stone on your table. The steak and all other dishes were delicious plus you have a bit of exercise as well. When you are in Kaprun, this is must go restaurant.

Was man von aussen nicht erwartet trifft man innen drin an. Ein mega gemütlicher Stadlkarakter (fast wie Käfer's auf der Wies'n) Tolle regionale Speisen und sehr gute Weine. Der Service sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend..... Da geht man gerne wieder hin.

Ein wunderschönes uriges Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und unglaublich nettem Personal. Eine Empfehlung für jeden der in der Gegend Zell am See Kaprun unterwegs ist. Sommer wie Winter. Komme gerne wieder.

Das Restaurant verfügt über ein sehr tolles Ambiente, ich hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war lecker, aber eher hochpreisig. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend.
