When I wanted a son that the Rib Eyes on the menu we...as I said they didn't have it, but could offer a Entrecote (what I thought was the same? The meat was very chewing and when we tried to tell another waiter, she got angry and said that it should be like that, as it was a meat from the back of the animal. We told her again and she really got mad. The meat wasn't even a entrecote, but rather looked like Sirloin Steak. We tried not to ruin our family night and instead ordered a beautiful Panacotta for my son. Then the chef came to our table with a piece of raw meat to show how good their entrecote meat was (the meat had no fat or marbling like a entrecote. And he told us that we were not welcome again to them.... Not welcome because we didn't want to eat chewing meat that cost 37€ on their menu? I've never experienced anything like this and really hope that nobody else gets the same treatment when they complain about something about eating in this restaurant. I am very dissapointed, but the wine was beautiful and our first male waiter was great.
Disappointment. the service was good, but eating was understandards. the web page and reviews promise a lot, but unfortunately promise an empty one. we were a group of eight and we tried brain escalope, ribeye steak, truffle tagliatelle and an artichoke suppe. the suppe was good, the rest was a disappointment, and that was our unanimous opinion. we used to ate with my your and both the service and especially the eating and the atmosphere were 2 stars over free. we also have much better eating on huts in the mountain. flos offers a embarrassingly mediocre eating that is marketed as a fine kitchen.
Austria is fine. Fine food in a relaxed but demanding casual atmosphere. All combined with short-range feed. In other words, there was a lot of excitement about this visit for us. We had read something about the place. The story of the young passionate cook that focuses directly on the smallest details. The result is a culinary journey that you rarely see in this district. A court after further surprises. In combination with a very cultivated sommelier, the Eßerei delivered highest quality. It was simply refreshing to find such a place and we can highly recommend a visit. Should be almost a requirement to stop by. But it won't be a short trip. For this is a place where you just want to enjoy beyond the late hours. Congratulations, Flo. Your family has created a hidden jewel under the mountain Schmittenhöhe.
For us the restaurant was a disappointment. The food was not tasty. We were waiting more than 2 hours for the food. There were only 3 tables with guests. There isn't any atmosphere at all. The best thing was the French wine we ordered.
If you are in Zell am See, this is a restaurant you cannot miss. Beautiful scenery and atmosphere, very quaint, cosy, and all-round lovely. The food was amazingly presented and delicious and the vibe was gorgeous. I can’t fault it; it was so lovely. Thank...you very much x
