It was a weekday before lunch time and it was raining, so we had the place to ourselves. My wife had the seafood bowl and I, being picky about fish, had salmon sushi. When my wife mentioned she had a shrimp allergy, they accommodated with other options. There were different types of salmon sushi available, including nigiri, boxed sushi, and seared boxed sushi (I believe it was seared with mayo). The seafood bowl was ¥1100, but we also received complimentary red miso soup for lunch, so it was essentially ¥900. They had a wide variety of sushi toppings available. There were also two types of soy sauce, a sweet one from Kyushu and a spicy one from Kanto. The taste, value for money, we may have found the best sushi restaurant. It could also be used as an izakaya at night with a menu of small dishes. The owner was friendly and easy to talk to. It takes about 30 minutes by car from our home, but we will definitely be returning. My wife has already declared she will try the sea urchin and salmon roe bowl next time. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.
Affordable and delicious
