The only thing I am sad about is that I waited this long to eat here I have been missing out! My husband and I ordered the pork dumplings and ribs for apps and he had the shoyu ramen and I had the pecan ramen for our main. For starters, the dumplingscame out and I knew that they were freshly made which the waiter confirmed. The filling was perfectly seasoned and it wastopped with a phenomenal garlicky chile oil. The ribs were fall off the bone tender with a slightly sweet and spicy red chilesauce. I would order these every time they were both so good! I ordered the pecan ramen which was served with tofu, shiitakemushrooms, expertly cooked delicata squash and a perfect soft egg to add a delicious creaminess to the broth. I don?t normallyorder vegetarian dishes when we go out but this one sounded too good to not try! My husband got the shoyu ramen and one sip ofthe broth itself was all he needed to know that the rest of the ramen was going to be amazing. The depth of flavor is somethingyou only get from time and extra care in the kitchen. No shortcuts are taken here and it shows! I highly highly recommend thisplace and there is probably only a very small handful of places that usually get my endorsement! I cannot wait to try moredishes from Oni! As a matter of fact, Benjamin, one of the chefs came out and chatted with us about a duck confit ramen that Iwill be impatiently waiting for! :
This is the most creative and delicious ramen I have ever eaten! I highly recommend it!! It is a small but popular restaurant, so be prepared for a wait if dining in.
The shoyu ramen had deep complex flavors that worked together in harmony. One of the best shoyu ramens I have had and I have tried it in multiple locations. Garlic chili noodles were also very flavorful and the egg gave them a delightful creamy texture.Cucumber salad had a nice crunch and the miso citrus dressing was yummy. Would definitely come back again. I?m so glad severalpeople recommended we give it a try.
I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation. I ordered beef tartare, dumplings, two bowls of Shoyu ramen, and shared a Bison bone dish. The total cost was $95, including tip, and we only drank water. Although the food didn't quite hit the mark for me, I won't go into specifics about why. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and I appreciate the decor and concept. The service was decent and it's nice to see locals raving about this place. Overall, I appreciate new, forward-thinking restaurants like this coming to Albuquerque.
