The wine was equally good. Jane our host was amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable which made our visit even better. Highly recommend and we look forward to coming again in the summer.
The food was mixed. I ordered a $36 pork belly which would have been a large entree at best. The burger had a really weird cheese and was average. The chowder was a good serve and the bread was nice. Their wines were not to our taste and are priced on the higher side.
Having decided on a family lunch after a long period apart we rolled up full of anticipation. The waitress scowled at us and barked “have you booked?”. We hadn’t. She relegated us to a distant corner and plonked a blackboard beside us. The menu looked hellishly expensive. We left. It’s all in the welcome.
After having completed the wilderness boat tour we were ready for a hearty meal and a glass of wine. The winery did not disappoint. Our meals were beautiful and the wine outstanding. Thoroughly recommend a visit to our most southern winery.
This restaurant is only open during special times, so be sure to check the schedule. However, it is definitely worth the wait. The menu and food are excellent, and they also offer a great selection of wines.
