I wish I could give 5 stars, but it was extremely disappointing to travel to Alpine for a weekend to discover that they no longer serve on Saturday lunch. The hours are so uncomfortable. My husband is a student at Sul Ross, but only visits Saturdays when they meet and end early before dinner begins. Nevertheless, the food is delicious and is why we enjoyed our way, but with our mouth were left to know that lunch is no longer.
Some of the best barbeque I had! The ranch beans I've ever had!
I was finally able to try out the food here and I can say I was really impressed! The ribs were a good size and the brisket was not dry at all. I think the only bad thing was that food didn't get hot. The beans were amazing the best I had from other BBQ places in the area.
This BBQ is our favorite in Texas! The hotel is located on the west side of the Alps, surrounded by the desert and observed by the mountains. The smokey taste is perfect and the spices improve every cut and any kind of meat. I had the normal sausage, the pulled pig, the ribs and the chicken. All cooked for perfection. The atmosphere was really Texan and immaculately clean. Host and staff very pleasant and friendly. Way for such a wonderful BBQ Texas style evening.
Food service. What more do you want from a restaurant? They deliver in spades, you will not be disappointed. Service was Johnny on the spot. We had the brisket, pulled pork, burger, potato salad and ranch beans. ALL rocked! Plenty of seating, a bar and a stage. Think there may be outdoor seating as well, but it is in the low 30s, so we are staying inside! Bathroom is clean and well kept. The place is a bit off the road, so look for the ?BBQ? sign and you can see the building back a bit. Bonus: Big Bend Brewing is just a quarter mile down the road.
