I had the monk with black rice risotto. Well presented and delicious. The crumb with crispy nuts was also very good.

All other restaurants were booked out in this area, but the man at the front of Lusitania welcomed us with a smile and made us feel welcome. Had the crispy chicken and the monkfish kebab. No complaints with the food or the drinks. Would recommend.

Despite the visit, this has been our first visit to Lusitania for many years. Simply one of the best meals we've ever had in Alvor or anywhere. The conversion was very different with 3 types of homemade butter the olives that my... favorite. We had nets of pork and tuna and both were divine. 74 € for appetizers, net, bottle of wine, water, coffee and port. The atmosphere and service were also exceptional.

My food was bad, I ordered monks who are my favorite fish. It was tasteless, dry and open could have been anything... Huhn Nuggets! I told the manager. I didn't eat it. He cried and said it was my choice not to eat it! I didn't advertise anything else. When the bill came, they had charged us for the court – it is expensive. We paid and I was hungry. Don't go there.

We visited this restaurant in August and have just to check. Waiting for food was about an hour and when it finally arrived, it was best. The "potatoes" that accompanied my food were cramps.... very strange!. When the restaurant card...machine was down then, we had a heated disagreement with the waiter in front of the entire square.... his attitude was insulting...... Very good. Would not recommend and will not return.
