We tried Ericas for the first time. I found myself very confused. It has the prices of the North End, the ambiance of an irish pub (inside anyway) and the food IMO was less than mediocre. Maybe we got the wrong items? We assumed the pasta would be safe since its an Italian place. I was surprised the pasta wasn't homemade for the prices but not holding that against them( we assumed). Shrimp scampi was very bland and the seafood risotto was not really risotto, very mushy and watery and almost like a white rice /veggie soup feel. Also we had to pour S&P on our dishes as they were incredibly underseasoned. The bread was good. It seems maybe this place has just been around for a while and people just accept the mediocre food but since there's not many other places to eat in the area, it would be great if this kitchen got a revamp and brought in some modern cooks. We would definitely try it again if we could be certain the food would be better. I truly hope the restaurant reads these reviews and takes the constructive criticism! We need good food in this area. Please revamp some things and we will give it another shot!
Let me start with WOW. Hard to beat the coziness, quality of food and service. We ordered the Risotto with Broccolini, Zucchini Summer Squash with Shrimp and absolutely loved it. We will be back for the amazing staff, value and ambiance.
So tried Erica's en route to a different restaurant and I am happy we diverted. The food was delicious. I got chicken piccata and it was so good but even better was the arancini. Will definitely come back here to eat and the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very cozy. We even got dessert and that was delicious as well. Husband got the lobster ravioli and he loved that
FOOD//SERVICE//AMBIANCE all very, very good. Honest to goodness fresh home cooked meals that are prepared with attention to detail, significant in portion size and most of all, always super fresh and delicious; we've never had an average meal at Erica's each and every visit has been terrific. Just last Friday when we left the restaurant, my wife and I both commented on the fantastic consistency of taste, freshness, presentation, service and the extraordinary value given the superior quality in their every entrée. Erica's is a home run business, operated by husband and wife owners (Sam Erica) who take great pride in the quality of guest service and total satisfaction.
