The Stables Whitford - Auckland

Unfortunately, there is no longer a dedicated vegan menu at this restaurant, which is disappointing. It may just be a temporary change due to the summer or COVID. However, we were still able to find a few vegan options on the regular menu, such as garlic pizza, mushroom risotto, cauliflower bites, and a falafel burger. We decided to try the margarita pizza with vegan cheese, and it was delicious. The crust was light and the toppings were fresh. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, so I hope they bring back the vegan menu soon.

I love this restaurant because it's the only one in the area that has a dedicated vegan menu. They offer vegan chick-un, Beyond Meat patties, plant-based cheese, and much more. There are not many options out East, so I'm glad I found this hidden gem in the countryside. They also serve delicious cocktails.

The staff at this restaurant is outstanding, providing professional and friendly service while still being able to joke around. The food was average, with the falafel being a bit dry, the hummus not very fresh, and the pita on the tough side. However, the atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant is clean, and the drinks are good.

I stopped by for brunch and enjoyed the wings, which were very tasty (though would have been even better with a blue cheese sauce). The chips were a bit disappointing, lacking salt and not that warm when served. The staff was okay, but seemed a bit rushed because of Father's day, so we never got the salt we requested. A standout for me was the selection of beers - just my kind of spot.

I returned to try the grazing platter burgers again and they were still delicious. The grazing platter itself was also very tasty. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. The service was excellent and our food came out promptly.
