Almarah Mediterranean Cusine - Austin

This restaurant offers the best pita bread and hummus in the world, so if you're a fan of those dishes, you will love it. The staff seems passionate and friendly, with the cook even coming out to chat with you. They strive to make authentic food, but there is room for improvement. Our server was pleasant, but not very knowledgeable about the menu. It was a bit off-putting to see him sweeping the floor during our meal, and he seemed surprised when I mentioned I had made a reservation. Apart from the delicious pita and hummus, the rest of the food was average. Austin could use a good family-owned Mediterranean restaurant, so hopefully they will step up their game soon.

By far the best Central Eastern/Lebanese food in Austin. Beautiful warm fresh bread and fresh hot dishes. Very authentic food.
