Budare's Venezuelan Food - Austin

The fried plantains accompanied by a creamy green sauce are delicious—sure, they’re a bit oily, but they strike the perfect balance between sweet and savory. I ordered a cheese (vegetarian) Cachapa but ended up with a Veg mushroom Arepa instead. While it was still tasty, it wasn't what I had requested. Overall, I’d rate the food a 3 out of 5.

Reina pepiada arepa was amazing! The cilantro sauce and plantains were delicious. My husband got the carne mechada cachapa and the tequeños and everything we had was 10/10. Sad it took us this long to discover this place, and can’t wait to come back for more!!

Yummy Venezuelan food! The person there was so busy and had just arrived from a catering gig that made them open later than advertised according to them. I wasn’t aware of this until they shared with me and that explained the vibes which were frantic and rushed as I ordered… anyhow I think the food was so good that I plan to return

Went here for the first time after passing it for years. I got a pulled chicken cachapa (pollo mechado) for lunch with plantains and a fried egg for toppings. It was one of the best things I've had in Austin in a long time. The cachapa came out like a savory crepe and every bite was great. The toppings and the chicken were all together in the cachapa and everything tasted home made and fresh. I have no idea if this is authentic or not but I can't believe I slept on this place.Parking: Parking is limited in the daytime due to business tenant parking. Also, if parking is full I would avoid parking at the lot for Sue Patrick's north of the food truck lot. They are notorious for towing vehicles, especially at night.

We hired Budare's to cater a reunion for 60 people. Our menu selections were Carne Mechada, White Rice, Black Beans, Platanos, Yucca Frita, and Quesillo(Flan). The food arrived on time, hot, and ready to serve. The food was delicious! The flavors were spot on and the Quesillo was phenomenal! We received rave reviews from our diners. The entire process from ordering, to delivery was flawless. I would highly recommend Budare's for catering an event and if you only need a meal for yourself, visit the Food Truck, you will NOT be disappointed.
