Chen Z Noodle House - Austin

I wanted to write a review to balance out the negative ones lately. My family and I decided to try something different on Thanksgiving Day and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was served promptly, hot, and delicious! We enjoyed fried dumplings, curry chicken fried rice, combination soft noodles, walnut shrimp, and Peking Pork. I would recommend any of these dishes! The restaurant has a rustic feel with some cracked tiles and visible storage of plates and utensils, but the service was friendly and the food was excellent.

I have experienced several instances of errors in my orders at this restaurant. Most recently, I spent almost $100 on a meal for my family and I was shocked to find that the sweet and sour chicken did not have any sweet and sour sauce on it. Additionally, the three large fried rice dishes I ordered were all supposed to contain different types of meat (beef, chicken, pork) but they all only had a few tiny pieces of chicken. It seems like they are taking shortcuts and not putting in the effort to properly prepare the dishes. When I called to address the issue, they were unhelpful and unfriendly. I will not be ordering from this restaurant ever again.

I LOVE THE FOOD ITS THE BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! True Asian and fresh food! only thing it needs is music so it won’t be too awkward. Honestly it’s one of the best and authentic places I’ve been too and high suggest it!

Rare find. So fresh and delicious!!! Authentic food, good service, clean, affordable. We had dumplings as our appetizer, pork chop in Peking sauce and BBQ pork soft noodles. Our new fav!!

The staff is very apologetic, but the kitchen can not handle the orders. My simple entree of sweet and sour chicken took more than an hour and a half to complete. Lots of yelling in the back, but great front of house and AMAZING food once I tired it at home. I would recommend this place to a friend, just know it takes a while and their times are pretty accurate.
