El Caribe - Austin

This is the most outstanding little Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The food is absolutely delicious, and the salsa bar is fantastic. The margaritas are incredibly tasty and can be a bit dangerous!

This restaurant has been a local favorite in Austin for a long time. Some of my favorite salsa comes from here. They offer a great variety of dishes, including authentic Mexican cuisine and a wide selection of seafood. The service is excellent, and the restaurant is very clean and well-maintained for an older building in Austin. The bathrooms are also clean and well-lit. Before the pandemic, they had a margarita happy hour, but I forgot to inquire about it during my last visit since I was focused on the food.

This restaurant has an excellent reputation, and after dining here, I completely understand why. Everything we had was delicious, and their margaritas are top-notch. I honestly believe they serve the best Spanish rice in town. Additionally, if you're feeling apprehensive about dining out due to COVID, I highly recommend El Caribe as they take safety and cleanliness very seriously. I will definitely be returning!

Family-run, this place is a must-visit. Carla will greet you, and she means business. The food is exceptional, as is the service. Think the margarita is too strong? You were forewarned. Not a fan of salsa? Just ask for something else. There’s brilliance in this restaurant, and you can feel the love that fills the space.
