Fixe Southern House - Austin

The food isn’t the same. Granted, our first date there was 7yrs ago; plus Covid. The Biscuits didn’t taste like his grandma’s biscuits. More so like out of the can ?…I had the Pork-chop, very tough and stringy; my husband had the Pot Pie, hardly any lobster or crawfish. Drinks were good; Pecan Pie was delicious.

Ordered the fried chicken and it came out raw in the middle . The waitress took it back for it to be redone and it came back 5 min later …. Still raw . Food was mediocre at best .

Overall, dining was great, pork chop not going to be my favorite spot to eat it. The biscuits and the grits was fantastic. Brocollini not cooked enough. Warmed up due to mishap the order.

The chicken and biscuits are a must! Excellent. Lots of ambiance and a great bar. The only down side is the parking. Valet would be awesome!

Fixe never disappoints! We make sure we stop here at least once every time we visit Austin. Such great staff, atmosphere and the best southern comfort food in Austin.
