The pastrami wasn't good, the falafel tasted nothing like falafel, mozzarella sticks were broken and shapeless. The worst was the grilled cheese. It was all bread, no cheese. Even the vibe was nothing like the Jewboy Burgers.
Really good sandwich shop in Austin. Not a traditional deli based on the name but rather some Mexican fusion with Italian and traditional deli. Still very
Holy smokes!! This is absolutely, hands down, a MUST STOP in Austin. By far the best sandwich I have ever had. They have house made chips and dips that are to die for. And the mushugana mule? Stop it, it is so good! There is a big selection of sandwiches hot or cold fries, baked goods (I don’t think made in house but still a tasty compliment to the meal). The staff are so friendly, help you pick the perfect sandwich for you, take time to explain and answer your questions, they’re awesome. Please pay custom to Jewboy! I need this place to be in business forever.
The vegetarian option at this restaurant is fantastic. The eggplant parm sandwich was delicious. The fries were tossed in Parmesan cheese and were so good that I ate every single one. They also offer other vegetarian options such as the eggplant parm sandwich.
This sub shop is usually great, but it can be inconsistent. We have visited multiple times and most of the time the food has been good. However, today the OG Philly sandwich we ordered was extremely salty, the bread was more like a hot dog bun, and the steak was chewy and poorly cut. The sandwich was also not even cut in half, making for a disappointing experience. This may make us think twice about returning in the future. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I hope this feedback helps the team improve. The other sandwiches we have tried here, including the Philly, have been delicious in the past, so we are unsure what went wrong today.
