Contribuisci feedbackI was disappointed by the meal I had, but I'm not sure if it's just Kovid tiredness or if it's really not good. The staff was very friendly and the reviews had excited me, but unfortunately I will not go back when there are so many other good places for Ramen in Austin. Spicy Gyoza: The menu says pan-seared, but it was deep fried, it was good tho! Meat was great!? Signature ramen: egg yolk saw dey (yes dry), noodles over boiled was crawling together and could 't separate, broth is basically nothing interesting reminds me of the broth in Kura Revolving Sushi, corn was boiled over like the corn that you 'd get from warming a frozen dinner. The restaurant is very cute, but the food is missing, not sure why it makes great reviews that I think it's Kovid tiredness or the only good ramen joint people in this area of Austin get.
Resturaunt was beautiful and clean. Very easy to place your order. You grab your own menu, set yourself and go to the counter to place your order when you are ready. We ordered the signature ramen and it came in a beautiful size bowl, and the taste was amazing! The man who worked was very friendly and checked us. If we lived here in Austin, we'll probably come here all the time. We will definitely be back when we visit! Ps we went to 2 other Ramen restaurants and went right in front of Kenji. Sooo glad we found this jewel!
My first time to Kanji was last week and I'm stuck. The Spicy Mi-so Ramen is too great for words, broth was so full of amazing aromas. The shrimp empura, so fresh and crispy. This is my new favorite place to eat!
We decided to try a different type of noodles for lunch and picked Kanji Ramen. The place requires customers to order and pay at the counter and then look for a table to sit (Just FYI). We ordered Chashu (Marinated braised pork belly) and Pork Gyoza (Pan-seared dumplings) as appetizers, and for the main dish, Kanji Ramen, which is their signature ramen in a creamy pork bone soup with soy sauce based seasoning. Every dish ordered had a very unique and rich flavor. Definitely a different experience in comparison to Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese noodles, but good in its own way.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. It wasn?t very busy when we came in, but the food was great. The broth isn?t overpoweringly salty but is still super flavorful. All of the different toppings on the signature ramen went well together.
