This charming restaurant is a delightful spot. While the tapas aren’t traditional, I recommend skipping the Spanish omelette in favor of the patatas bravas, not for authenticity, but because the aioli is delicious. They offer happy hour every day from 4 to 6, featuring both food and drink specials. Additionally, on Sundays and Mondays, all bottles of wine are half off. I would definitely come back, and I imagine the patio is beautiful in the spring.

After hearing countless friends praise this place, I finally decided to pay a visit. It's nestled among some of Austin's finest restaurants, and it certainly holds its own. I'll gladly keep coming back. Be sure to stop by for their excellent happy hour—everything on the menu is a delight!

This restaurant is amazing! The mussels are a must-try. Their fries are hot and crispy. The happy hour from 5 to 8 is definitely the highlight. Veronica was excellent!

Great spot for a date, celebration, or nice dinner. The mussels appetizer is a must! It comes in a creamy broth with ham hocks and is pretty stellar all around. For my entree I had the red snapper. It came on forbidden black rice with some mushrooms and pesto on the side. It was a really great dish and very tasty. My friend ordered the hangar steak, which I got a taste of and was really good as well. The cornbread sundae is also a super must; thyme cornbread with a bourbon ice cream and caramel popcorn. Everything about that dessert is delicious. The service was top notch! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered any questions we had. The food came out quickly, which was nice. The layout of the restaurant is alright. If you sit on one side, you get a view of the bar. If you sit on the other, you get a view of the kitchen (which is a dangerous place to sit if you're indecisive and prone to thinking you should have ordered X, Y, or Z instead). Little Barrel and Brown is serving really delicious food and an overall great dining experience. Definitely worth checking out!
