The young man who took our order was quite helpful, allowing me to swap regular spaghetti for angel hair pasta for my main dish. After paying, we received a table number and headed to one of the back rooms, where we found a table right away. This is definitely a family-friendly spot, bustling with patrons—and a few untethered kids expressing their excitement with loud screams and tantrums. Our food and drinks arrived quickly. The spaghetti, sauce, and meatballs were tasty and flavorful, but they arrived barely warm. Unfortunately, the Italian sausage I ordered with my pasta was also lukewarm and lacked flavor. I had a small side salad with house dressing, which was fresh and enjoyable, though I would recommend asking for the dressing on the side. As for conversation, it was somewhat challenging due to the noise levels in the restaurant. One particularly distracting aspect was the loud clatter of ceramic dishes being tossed into dish pans as servers cleared tables. When they noticed us jumping at the crashing sounds, they just smiled and offered a quiet apology. Overall, I would rate Mandola's Italian Kitchen a 3 out of 5. While I appreciated some elements of the food and service, there were also areas that could use improvement. It was quite busy during my visit, and I plan to return when it's less crowded, as I truly believe I’ll have a better experience. I love Italian cuisine, and I look forward to enjoying their offerings at a quieter time. Thank you for reading my review!
I was in search of a restaurant with delicious side dishes, and I found just the right spot. I returned for a second visit to try their wood-fired pizza, and it did not disappoint. While it’s not an upscale restaurant, it offers great food at reasonable prices.
This is the best canned overcooked Bolognese I've ever had in my life. However, I wouldn't recommend the gnocchi Bolognese.
Me and my family did not like it the food was flavorless did not have good tasted at all we are never coming here again
Some of the most delicious Italian food in Austin, and this location is very conveniently located in the southwest area.I highly recommending ordering lunch here. I usually get a panini and soup, and I absolutely love that they include their homemade bread, oil, and spices for dipping at home. One time they did forget something in my takeout order, but I called them and they offered a free cake which was very nice!
