Saffron South - Austin

All the dishes are clearly marked as vegan or vegetarian, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about which items contained dairy, which was fantastic since I'm lactose intolerant. The samosas were excellent and unique for me, as I haven't had many samosas before. The saffron goat was delicious, with the goat meat being tender and flavorful. The madras chicken was creamy and flavorful as well. The biryani was decent; we ordered it without meat. Everything we tried was dairy-free, except for the biryani, but the waiter was able to prepare it without any dairy.

Wow, this restaurant deserves a rating of 200/10! It was absolutely fantastic, and the food was delicious. As an Indian, I can confidently say that the cuisine was truly authentic. I ordered lamb skewers, onion kulcha, tandoori roti, chicken biryani, and rice pudding, and everything was perfection. The curry's flavor was mouthwatering, and the rice pudding was out of this world! The skewers were incredible—the meat was cooked to perfection and not overly salty. I highly recommend this restaurant! The customer service was exceptional as well. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. I believe it was the owner who generously treated us to the rice kheer for free, which was amazing! Thank you!

This restaurant is an absolute treasure! I enjoyed the most delectable chicken dish with tomato sauce and rice. The appetizer was a delightful dumpling stuffed with potatoes and peas, accompanied by a homemade sauce made from mint, jalapeño, pepper, cilantro, lemon juice, garlic, and other tasty ingredients that was simply scrumptious. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I was happy and comfortable, and they never rushed me at all. I can't wait to come back to this fantastic spot! It's so delicious—a must-visit while in this part of Austin for unique and authentic cuisine! Great people, too!

I ordered dinner from this place and the food was just beyond words! I got their chicken tikka, saag paneer, and garlic naan. The food was so fresh it just melted in my mouth. So glad we have a great Indian restaurant in our neighborhood!

Excellent taste and great service. They no longer do buffet due to pandemic. They present Ozarks bottled water for your drink which is also quite enjoyable.
