The simosas were cold served. second time they brought out, still cold inside. no one smiled at this place or made eye contact. the gentleman front was the worst. has not recognized me. will not go back.
Great experience. I went through the door, felt at home in a north Indian-Themed restaurant. the ambiente and the music were pleasant; the place was not overcrowded, so it was quite calm. the service was immediately, consistent and respectful. I didn't feel rushed to order / eat, but was visited enough where I felt as if I was taken care of. in relation to food, the restaurant serves all the usual North Indian foods that can be found in austin. I feel like the chaat removers were excellent (the correct amount of seasoned, escaped were not too fried, and aromen were balanced.) the most important escapes were also excellent, but could have been a bit spicier. Overall, the curries and chaat that we ordered, balanced one another, the service was pleasant and complementary to the eating, and the ambiente made me feel comfortable in the taj palace. I'll be back in the final.
I've eaten here several times and liked it so I returned for their buffet. This time, my friend and I really enjoyed the food but we felt awfully sick after dinner. Maybe we both just overate. Or it might be that something was off.
Great food. I missed the chicken tikka masala which was an item in the previous buffets I've had at Taj Palace.
