I had an salad, delicious sourdough bread and nutty chocolate piece. delicious! will definitely return to next tour of Scottland.
I was so excited to discover this place just an hour drive from home! the personal was super friendly and I had a great coffee and a coconut hot chocolate as well as a vegan sourded cheese and, the highlight for me, an excellent cinnamon roll. it is not common to find good vegan baked goods in such a rural location! the caffe reminds me of somewhere where I would have found back in brighton, so I think I will be regular!
A small selection of vegan options available plus additional veggie in a stunning environment.
Thanks to the guide in balmoral castle for the recommended tarmachan, this caffe deserves to be better known. the ambiente is beautiful with many of our door seats, a small wild area and swallows over the door. There are many vegan options in which it felt more like a vegan caffe with some meat options than the other wise round. the fennel cakes and salads were excellent. good to see most of the softdrinks also in glass and aluminum containers. visit them when they are located in the region of Balmoral/Braemar. updated by previous review on 2021-07-07
A changeable lunch menu with a few options everyday including items such as Dahl and kimchi and soups and salads, at least one of them vegan friendly. Coconut and oat milk available for coffee substitute. Ask about the baked goods at the counter, as they change daily. Usually they will be veg friendly but not always vegan friendly!
