Made no fuss about it but another tea coming, this time hot, and the waiter apologized because the tea earlier wasn't as hot as it was written in the menu, and that one will be free. We had two rice cooked in coconut milk, two steamed rice, one ingkung chicken that we thought would be small like other place but turned out to be kinda big (whole chicken only cost IDR 120.000 and can probably feed 5 adults with moderate appetite and one children). We spend IDR 160,000 for three person, with additional sauteed papaya leafs, two garlic sambals and one tomato sambal, with four (one is free) drinks of teas. It's quite cheap consider the other place has their chicken smaller than what we got. The view in front of this restaurant is rice fields, that you can also take a walk around. Please do not be distracted by the ingkung restaurant before this place, since they have a super big banner blocking the view to this place. This is an honest review in no way sponsored by the restaurant, I just want to spread good words about this great restaurant.
Ayam ingkung made from ayam kampung (means simply free-range chicken or literally village chicken . In Indonesia, the term ayam kampung refer to indigenous chickens that are raised using traditional free running production techniques in the village). Ingkung mean whole chicken with javanese cook style. I am not a fan om this fried chicken, and you must be patient for queue your order.
Traditional chicken cooked with coconut cream. Located in village. The taste was really good.
Good place, good food. Price is okay. Free wifi available
It's a nice place to have lunch, dinner with friends or family. The taste is recommended. The Sambals are also recommended. But since the place so famous, better make an appointment or reservation before coming.
