I stayed at the nearby Kurrajong hotel, and had breakfast here on a weekday morning.The Eggs Benedict were good, and the service efficient and fast. And the coffee was exactly the way I like it.The ambience on a weekday morning would best be described as "flat", as the whole place is full of suits and ID passes, as people grab breakfast with colleagues before they head into one of the nearby public service offices.

One of the newer places in Barton and well worth a visit. Best time to go is after the morning rush of public servants as then the cafe is virtually empty. We went there with 6 adults and 2 babies in prams and they were very accommodating with moving tables and chairs. Good was good quality and lots of it so it filled the hungry tummies. Good options for gluten free.

We came as a huge group for Sunday lunch as part of a work trip and they accommodated us remarkably well. The pumpkin salad was totally delicious and very filling, and the burgers / croquettes were a hit with the rest of the team.

A very popular place for locals and we enjoyed our cooked breakfast here one morning. Good service all around.

The coffee is very good, the food is OK, the service really lets this place down. They don't split bills - which is not uncommon, most people don't expect a different bit of paper for every individual - but they won't let you pay separately. They won't let you pay part cash and part credit card. They won't add any items up for you. They won't allow one person to say "take $30 out of this $50 note". It is frustrating. It makes paying very slow. They don't bring the bills to the table. They only have one person behind the till, so you get to stand in a queue behind six public servants trying to co-ordinate the exact amount for six $17.50 lunches because apparently it is the customer's responsibility to make sure they have the right money on them and to do all the associated arithmetic. The whole thing is just a big fat f*-you to the customer, which is not something I'm willing to put up with, when there is so much competition nearby.
