Yi Sushi Go! - Bayonne

I don’t get the hype of this place. The sushi rice has no flavor, and fish is just ok. I ordered a spicy salmon roll that had some type of hot sauce similar to Franks Red Hot poured on it. What an abomination! I had to find Tums after one piece and threw the rest away.The spicy tuna didn’t have this and was decent. The golden volcano was just ok but the best of my order.Fried shrimp dumplings were not that great either. The texture of the filling was weird and didn’t come across overwhelming like shrimp, more so hints of shrimp, flavor wise.They are punctual, take out order from their website was ready early.

Love it here! I reside in another city and come all the way over to Bayonne just for their sushi. The prices are not bad. Staff is super friendly.Recommendations:• Party tray special: P1• Appetizers: Edamame, fried dumplings, shrimp tempura• Soups/ Salads: Seaweed Salad, miso soup• Sushi: shrimp tempura roll, spicy salmon roll, spicy crab roll, salmon nigeri, tuna salmon avocado roll

The sushi is Fresh and so delicious. My favorite was the smoked salmon. The vegetable spring rolls were AMAZING! The steamed and fried shrimp dumplings AMAZING! Everything was so good. Definitely eating here again. The owner also gave us a complimentary mango mochi to try. YUM!Food: 5/5
