Contribuisci feedbackHello. Definitely 5 stars. I don't see why. Very small place, probably family property, due to the interior, rest rooms organization feels like someone family business Japanese place owned by Japanese people. Very good attentive service. Definitely number ONE to try is avocado bomb, they have it with different fish tuna, salmon and nit remember the rest. Any role you will order you will taste first class freshest fish. I can also recommend Udon for such as noodles. Located in the heart of Bayside, on the bell boulevard, not far from public parking. Good place to stay in your list. I should say it's pricy. #Mickey's Place Sushi Enjoy your meal
Chef and owner of Mickey’s Place, Michio “Mickey” Moroi has served large sushi for over two decades. In a tiny place opposite the LIRR in Bayside, Queens, Mickey’s Place never fails to satisfy a desire for sushi. It definitely hits all his competitors in and around Queens by making it really solid, good, Japanese food. There is not much ambience at Mickeys, although the narrow space is decorated in bright colors. The focus is on food. Do not go during the “rush hour” times as the kitchen can simply not hold. Weekly days are better than weekends and pick-up or delivery, is always a good option. The service is warm and friendly as Mickey and his wife Jennifer make a winning team. Make sure to order the Luba roll when you go – it is my absolute favorite!
Hidden treasure with a cult-like.... The decor didn't blow you away. The parking situation is not ideal. But who cares? Sushi is great. When you get to know Mickey and Jennifer a little, they will finally give you a Mickey 's T-shirt. As a rule, you will see a few people wearing their years old Mickey's shirt for their big Mickey's dinner as you 'd wear a Reggie Jackson jersey to a Yankee game. Streng over mouth propaganda, this place has built a super-loyal fan base, freends tells friends about this great discovery and they in turn share with their friends. It really has a unique cache about it, unlike almost any other restaurant I know. The spicy tuna is unique to Mickey 's, never had anything quite similar.
Freshest, high quality sushi. Worth the drive to bayside! The owners and staff treat you like family and the food is delicious and reasonably priced
My wife and I had our first date at Mickey 's at their original location on Queens Blvd in Forest Hills. Ever since then when ever we wanted sushi we would go to Mickey 's and never be dissapointed. Fresh, tasty, and Oreo tempura...delicious. We eventually left Forest Hills and moved around a bit before settling in Bayside. Wouldn 't you know that our favorite sushi place moved with us as well! Located right by the Bayside LIRR station, Mickey 's us a great stop for tired commuters looking for a reasonably priced, delectable, fresh sushi dinner. Jennifer and Mickey (always with a bandanna) are always ready to greet with a smile. The spicy tuna, Luba roll, and eel are all top notch as well as the traditional individual pieces. Salmon, crab, and tuna are my Favorites. Perhaps surprisingly, the Udon and beef negimaki are quite good. A treat not mentioned on the menu is a lily bomb . If you like avocado with your sushi try it. The presentation alone is worth an order. There is a decent sake collection, and they have the requisite beers on hand. The perfect end to the meal is the oreo tempura which is out of this world. My only gripe is that when it gets a bit crowded the service slows down considerably. The wait staff is mostly spot on but the younger members appear to get overwhelmed and forgetful at times. As far as I am concerned not a major roadblock to having a fantastic, authentic sushi dinner in the heart of Bayside. Bon appetit!
