The Bistro at The Bayswater Hotel

I absolutely loved Baysi! The people and food were amazing. The Sunday buffet offering 3 courses for $15 was definitely worth it. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for a casual lunch. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The service was awful and the food was below average. I was invited for a family dinner last Sunday and when I went to order my first glass of wine, the bartender was unhelpful and uncaring. He pointed to the fridge at the end of the bar when I asked what wine options they had, but I couldn't see through the glass from a distance. When I walked closer to the fridge to see what they had, the bartender got physical and aggressive towards me. Despite apologizing and backing off, he continued to threaten and intimidate me. It was a very unpleasant experience and I would advise others to avoid this place. The quality of the food was subpar, the buffet selection was poor, and the service was terrible. Overall, it was a traumatizing experience and I will never be going back.

Definitely nothing fancy! More like a miners canteen. Not somewhere to come on a first date that's for sure. The nicest spots are outside but of course they don't put the outdoor heaters on.
