Cafe Reveille - Berkeley

The worst customer service experience. while two of my friends were sitting, eating and working on their laptops, two of the employees started talking in the earshot that they don't like the names of my friend, and they can't imagine calling someone's child with their name. she has a very common Thai name. it was an extremely rude, insensitive and inappropriate talk, in general, let alone to have, while a customer service experience. would not recommend spending money here, there are other coffee sites that appreciate diversity and fundamental human respect.

I ordered the breakfast burrito with speck and a macchiato. The burrito had a delicious spicy salsa inside, and I had extra sauce on the side which was also delicious. The speck was a bit scarce; there were large potato wedges inside that took up most of the room, so I only got a few bites of speck on the side. I also appreciate that this restaurant is close to the university and tends to be less busy than other cafes on 4th street. I walked by other places later and they were packed with people, so it was nice to have a more relaxed experience here.

Yawn. the barista was cool, otherwise nothing special here.

Tasty food that's healthy, creative and consistently satisfying. I appreciate the staff who keep the ambiance of Cafe Réveille welcoming and appealing despite the lack of indoor dining (and this persistent pandemic that's made restaurant visits anything but normal). Your efforts make a difference and I'll keep coming back. Thank you.
