Rush Bowls - Berkeley

The service at Rush was slow, considering their name. The best part of an açaí bowl is the toppings, but there wasn't enough room for them at this place. They need to improve their recipe and process significantly.

The service was incredible! The girl who prepared my bowl was not only very friendly and funny, but she also did an excellent job. I really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely return. Be sure to try the freshly ground peanut butter!

To begin, the service was quite slow, but I understood that there was only one worker handling our orders and serving other customers in line. They only provided one free topping and charged an additional .95 per topping, while other places offer all toppings for under 10 dollars. However, the most concerning issue was the lack of hygiene from the worker preparing our bowls. She did not wash her hands or wear gloves while handling the fruit, which was still in its original packaging and appeared unwashed. When questioned, she mentioned being new and not receiving proper training on wearing gloves. This lack of cleanliness is especially concerning during a pandemic.

The guy working there was so kind and helpful. I was in a rush and placed my order to the Oakland location and they didn?t want to refund me my money. Luckily the nice gentleman was very understanding and made my order without an extra charge. Thank you very much!

My experience there was amazing, it tasted delicious and the price is reasonable. The service is quick and the people are so nice. And also it is very close to the high school. To anyone, just go!
