Short ribs are the best at this restaurant! You have to try them when you are in Berkeley. And if you're feeling up to it, you should be able to conquer them all on your own!
This restaurant has been a Berkeley staple for as long as I can remember. The staff is friendly and the food, especially the protein dishes, is always fresh and made to order. The kimchi is a must-try, with just the right amount of spice. I have been a satisfied customer for 20 years and highly recommend this place.
Consistently good and cheap as most Asian ghetto places go. the spicy boar calls me again and again because it is spicy, fat and comforting. not the best Korean food I had, but it's quite delicious. each dish comes with a side of rice, picked bean sprouts and kimchi. They can get tee free, and they are very fast to get their food orders out. the personal is friendly, and they look like they always have a good time to work together and cook. in any case a great place to grab a quick bite!
Steves is located in the "Asian Ghetto" and offers Korean BBQ at a reasonable price. For around $6-7, you can get a large portion of meat served with rice, bean sprout salad, and Kimchi. The spits provided were handy for non-meat items. The Kimchi was average in taste. The restaurant's appearance could be improved, but the food is cooked quickly. I witnessed my dish being made with fresh raw meat. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option with generous portions of meat, Steves is a good choice. The BBQ may not be the best, but it is flavorful and satisfying.
