The place is decorated so that people feel like outside. The walls are painted and there are structures that are shaped like buildings. It was really neat, especially as there were fake pigeons on the fake structures. Anyway, the food here is excellent. All dishes come with salad or soup, which is beautiful for an Italian place. Their menu is not as extensive as some other Italian places, but all their dishes sound fabulous. We had problems finding out what we want. I ordered the Cannellonis, and it comes with two big ones. They are filling, rich and full of taste. I also have to try other dishes that were all great. The disadvantage of this place is that you have to wait a really long time for food, and it is somehow expensive. Apart from that, I thought this place had excellent food overall. The waitress was also really nice and gave us some recommendations. I wasn't sure if I had to give 4 or 5, because it's probably more about 4.5 in my opinion.
Venezia was a nice return to Italian food as it was a while since I eat Italian. It was much nicer than I expected when I entered and had amusing decor – like pigeons, a linen line and only an Italian feeling. The food was kind of expensive, but that seems to be the usual case with Italian. Waiting for food also took a while, but it was a nice place, and I usually don't expect to get out quickly in a beautiful place. The sweet potato soup was a beautiful starter, though not spectacular. When the food came out, it looked out and smells delicious. I was glad that we had 5 people and we all ordered things that I wanted to try (there are still more I want to try, though =D. Despite some criticism of the ignoring of the spaghetti alla Carbonara (it has eggs and bacon and ordered a meatless eggplant dish (I think the name is somewhere around eggplant rollatin, I did not regret my order. The cheese in the eggplant is particularly good. The other dishes were also quite delicious, with the bobotia the most interesting. Overall a good experience.
