Staff said vegans can request custom vegetable centered dishes, also vegan pasta, dairy free bread, often vegan soups, great wine and liquor selection. For veggie folks, the flatbread looked good and the smore dark chocolate mousse was Grade A. Local figs soaked in a variety of whiskey, balsamic, oil etc were awesome. Reservations help. Noisy til after 8:30 on a Saturday, closes at 9 for entrance, served us desert at 9:30. Double check hours. Waitress was super helpful.
This restaurant is beautiful and the drinks are decent, but they have no idea what vegan means. Come on, it’s 2023 in California! First of all, the menu had some items that were clearly marked vegan, including a cheese plate and a ricotta ravioli. When we inquired more, they told us that those items definitely were not vegan. In the end, there was only one vegan dish, which was a winter squash stuffed with quinoa on some sort of mole. Well, we had to ask for salt and pepper because our overpriced squash was flavorless. Bottom line: Go get a drink at the pretty bar, find another place to eat.
This restaurant is lovely, and the drinks are quite good, but they really don't understand what vegan means. It's 2023 in California, come on! Initially, the menu featured several items that seemed vegan-friendly, including a cheese plate and ricotta ravioli. However, when we inquired further, we were informed that these dishes were not actually vegan. In the end, there was just one vegan option: a winter squash filled with quinoa and served with some kind of mole sauce. We had to ask for salt and pepper because our overpriced squash was bland. My advice: enjoy a drink at the beautiful bar but look elsewhere for a meal.
The mushrooms in this region are exceptional! I had pappardelle pasta with mushrooms, and it was fantastic, featuring a variety of mushroom species. The staff informed me that vegans can request custom vegetable dishes, as well as vegan pasta, non-dairy bread, and often vegan soups. There's also a large selection of wines and spirits. For those who prefer vegetarian options, the flatbread looked appealing, and the s’mores dark chocolate mousse was a delightful treat, infused with local flavors such as whiskey and balsamic vinegar. I recommend making reservations, as it tends to get noisy until after 8:30 PM on Saturdays, and the place closes at 9 PM. We were served dessert at 9:30 PM, which was a nice surprise. The waitress was incredibly helpful throughout our meal.
They offer a separate menu for vegans and vegetarians; just ask for it. There are many inventive vegan dishes, as well as several vegetarian options. The ambiance is stunning, featuring lovely views of the harbor. I enjoyed a black rice bowl topped with enoki mushrooms, watermelon radish, and avocado crema, which was delightful. The tabbouleh salad was also excellent, served with feta on the side. Additionally, they have an intriguing and delicious selection of cocktails.
