I've heard about Thyme and Seasons for years and wanted to go. I was finally for my birthday, and I wasn't disappointed! Chef Hai lived to his reputation! I had the Chilean sea bass, and it was just one of the best pieces of fish I've ever eaten (what says when I have eaten amazing seafood in the USA and 4 other countries). The atmosphere was strange (my mother said it was like eating gourmet food in a convenience store lol). But if you are ready to look past the Hodgepodge of the restaurant, you will be for a special treat! Five stars on the way!
We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant! The organic food was delicious and reasonably priced at $40 for two chicken dishes. It's worth noting that higher quality meat options would likely increase the cost. Chef Hai's attention to detail and excellent service made our dining experience unforgettable. We can't wait to come back!
After reading several reviews, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner. It was our first time, and the experience was absolutely delightful! My wife ordered the Chilean sea bass, while I asked the chef to surprise me with a meat dish. We forgot to mention that my wife doesn't eat Mayo, cream cheese, or sour cream, and that I am allergic to peanuts and also avoid cream cheese and sour cream. The chef, Hai, gracefully accepted the challenge and crafted the most delicious meal we've ever had. I tried a cut of meat that is not a common choice for me, but it was incredibly tender and juicy. Even though I don't usually eat seafood, I couldn't resist taking a bite of my wife's Chilean sea bass, which turned out to be excellent. We both enjoyed our sides - my wife had corn risotto, while I had smashed potatoes, and we were pleasantly surprised by a pink and red supplement on our plates that added a delightful touch to the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a unique dining experience. The concept of choosing your protein and letting the chef work their magic is truly special. Guests have the option to specify a certain cuisine or leave it up to the chef's creativity, resulting in unexpected and delightful dishes.
A unique and wonderful experience. Don’t be dissuaded by the storefront appearance or the clutter on the inside. As you enter, the owner/chef/host will greet and seat you. He then asks what you want to order through a serious of questions. The “menu” think cafe rio with meat/entree options) is printed on the wall but you won’t need it. He will just ask for your protein preferences and then list off many side options. He then creates an extremely creative meal that’s absolutely packed with flavor. Better even than the food was the hospitality. Some reviewers were taken aback by his east coast personality, but he truly is a kind man who cares about his customers. He went above and beyond in his conversation with us. He also has some cool books with currency from across the world, signed by former customers. It is on the pricier side $55+tip for 2) but you can certainly tell him you want a cheaper option and he’ll figure something out.
