Astronomer - Braintree

Waited at least 10 minutes to be acknowledged by what little staff they had in to seat us. Food wait was 40 minutes even though they didn't seem particularly busy. When the food did arrive it was miniature portions. The kids meal had more on their plate and theirs only cost £1 which in fairness is a great offer). Will not be returning in a rush.

Nicely priced food. Clean environment. Helpful staff. But, the food took over an hour to come out, some of the orders were wrong and when mentioned there wasnt any kind of apology, it was the same for other tables too. I would however go back as the food is nice and reasonably priced.

Decor is great, and there is a great atmosphere. Plenty of choice on the menu, and the food is excellent. Staff are friendly and professional. Parking is onsite with plenty of spaces.

Shabby and Dirty, with no need for it, Food was not good used to be so nice and plentyful there, but gone downhill so much, no Ales unless bottled, ended up with Cider, not good. Would need a complete transformation before we ever used it again, Sadly.
