Areo - Brooklyn

We had been eager to dine at Areo for a while, and when our friends from Europe came to visit during Christmas, we chose to have dinner there. The food was excellent, however, the service was lacking. Our waiter was unfriendly and barely present, only appearing when we placed our order and when the bill arrived. There were no offers of grated cheese or pepper, and he did not check on our meals. The loud music, which included blaring hip hop and tacky R&B, was not in line with the ambiance we had expected. While the food was delicious, if you are looking for a complete dining experience, it may be best to look elsewhere.

Service and food was unacceptable ble.waiter arguing with us when we found some plastic think in our seafood salad, he tell us that is part of octopus instead apology. They he brought 2 order grilled octopus which was salty. Initially he state that something wrong with us, but after he tried it , he sad that it salty. No apology again. Coffee I got only after ask second time. We dined in this restaurant for many years, now it is unacceptable service and food

Food is always great but my reservation as not recognized even though I had confirmation- host insisted there was nothing under my name and then that I made it for 7pm! Clearly he was incorrect so not sure if they are confused by open table or how that works when a reservation is made but they need to be more on top of that. Otherwise the food and drinks were great

This restaurant is always spot on...food is excellent especially the pasta cooked in foil. Service was good but our favorite waiter di not serve the table

Usually come for dinner but met friends early in day and had a delicious lunch! Never disappoints! Attentive service and comfy atmosphere!
