Emmons Bagel - Brooklyn

Used to be the tastiest bagels in the area. Guess no more. Last time was here about 10 years ago. Before that was a regular there. Stopped by this morning for a poppy seed one. This was the blandest bagel I've ever had. Don't know what it was made of. Not sure it was wheat. The crust is so hard to chew on. Normally we say feels like rubber, but it felt like plastic, rather. Coffee was just pure water of brownish color. Too bad.

Ordered breakfast for 2 delivered. I ordered eggs over medium, they were hard boiled. No joke the yolk had the consistency of a hard boiled egg. Over priced, no iced coffee on the menu. Tasted the home fries, not the worst I've ever had but bland.

If when I was ordering my omelet I would have appreciated if I was given choices of type of bread and lettuce and tomato as a side. There was no mention of sides on the grub hub site. But the omelet was delicious!

Got toasted pumpernickel bagel and coffee. Bagel was tasty and just right; It was not gumny or hard. Lox cream cheese was the right consistency. This was exactly what I hoped for in a breakfast. Keep up the good work.

Very good bagels, crisp and chewy. Good sandwiches.
