Then, 3 of our party ordered the roasted chicken and all three plates contained pieces of very boiled chicken. When the manager came out to explain, he apologized and offered free cakes that never came. Not a great night for the Pearl.
There was only one table with 2 people when we arrived. We just ordered Entrees and it took 50 minutes until our food arrived. A special dish-Macadamia coconut encrusted fillet was placed on our table and it was only fillet of the sole with peppers on it. The waiter said it was supposed to be like that??
Had reservations in the late afternoon. The restaurant was quite empty. Food was good, but very slow service. We weren't in a hurry, but lunch took two hours. We felt that restaurant was more for a bar crowd at night
Once again, the Pearl Room was not disappointed! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. My friends took me here for my birthday and as always the food was great! Anthony (the owner) knew that it was sent to the table for us about champagne and wonderful, warm, homemade chocolate truffles. It is the perfect place to celebrate, you cannot ask for better food or service!.
We were very disappointed in the restaurant. It had an overall strange smell upon entering (a mixture of food and bathroom deodorizer? and they were playing late 70s-80s top dance hits which was a strange choice and didn't enhance the dining experience. The food was mediocre, probably microwaved frozen food. The staff was really very nice and accommodating, and the tables were set very beautifully, but other than that, meh.
