It featured only chicken breast and had an unusual texture, but the flavor was nice. I also ordered the House Lo Mein, which had great taste as well, though the textures were a bit strange. The service was a bit odd—not terrible, but really slow! It took a while for someone to take our order, and then it took quite some time to receive our food. The prices felt a bit high, but the portion sizes were decent, so I can’t complain too much. Overall, it’s not exceptional, but it's a reasonably good spot for Chinese food in a small town!
The food was cold and lacked flavor. The fried rice was simply plain rice without any vegetables. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience with high prices. It seemed like the food was frozen and just reheated, and even then, it was still cold.
We had initially intended to dine at the Mexican restaurant up the street, but it was closed on Sunday. Since we were already parked, we decided to try the nearest Chinese place instead, and that turned out to be a mistake! The food was quite disappointing. Both of our dishes arrived lukewarm to cold. I ordered the combo dinner #5, which included sweet and sour chicken, sliced pork (which was cold), fried rice (just rice with soy sauce), and chow mein. It was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. I should have asked them to microwave it, but I doubt that would have improved it much. To top it off, it was really expensive! My husband had the family meal, which looked a bit more appealing with more vegetables, but it was still cold and bland, especially without the mustard sauce.
I ordered the mushroom chicken as I was craving moo goo gai pan, and figured it would be close enough. I can honestly say that it has been the only thing in this town that hasn't made me angry that I had to eat it.The fried rice is also the brown sauce style. Where I'm from, this style can be found in half the restaurants, and you would be lucky if it had as much flavor as this. So just a heads up if you order it thinking it's the other style. It's good though. And a note to people passing through- when I first moved here, nothing had flavor. It's because of the elevation and lack of humidity. You're in a high desert. They are not known for flavor, much less fresh food. So the reality is that almost everything comes to this town frozen. I mean, I saw one review complaining about lack of fresh ingredients. Did they not see what was around them? This town shouldn't even exist, yet here we are.I'm grateful for this restaurant. It made me forget that I lived in Burns, until I had to go to my car. But the portions were so generous that I can dull the pain at home.
MEH. Chinese American. Salad shrimp in fried rice! -10 for customer service. Understandable it's in small town but ...come on. LISTEN to com.ments about food
