Contribuisci feedbackToday I went to brunch with a group and we all had a fantastic experience. The bacon-wrapped corn was a standout dish with great flavor. The Brisket Sandwich with Broccoli salad was perfect, although it does come with jalapeno peppers. I ordered the breakfast special which was Eggs with smoked meat - a delicious combo of sausage and brisket. The restaurant had a great selection of beers and a decent selection of wines. Overall, a great dining experience.
Every time I visit this restaurant, I feel like I become more hip. With a great whiskey selection and delicious BBQ, I always leave feeling satisfied but also a bit stuffed. It's interesting to see how Calgarians put their own spin on southern BBQ, and I appreciate the variations from what I'm used to in Texas. I highly recommend trying the sausage and cornbread - they really stand out among the menu items!
I visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday evening and was impressed by the amazing service and food. The wait staff checked on us multiple times throughout the meal, ensuring we had everything we needed without long waits. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, broccoli salad, lemon sheet cake, and chess pie, all of which were delicious. The meats were flavorful and tender, the salad was crisp and zesty, and the desserts were phenomenal. The portion sizes were just right, leaving us satisfied but not overly full. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant for the fantastic experience and delicious food.
My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day, it was amazing. We shared the brisket, the green beans and the Frito Pie, which was my favourite part of the meal. We also each had cornbread with the honey butter, you won't regret it. We also had some cocktails, which are $4 off if you go for happy hour and they were strong and delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out, I can't wait to go back.
Before we even tried it I was convinced I was going to love Hayden Block (whisky and brisket being two of my favourite things), and it didn 't disappoint! We had a lovely time sitting on the patio for Happy Hour (1/2 price whisky and cheaper cocktails). The service was great, very quick and friendly. Our food was delicious the highlights for us were the smokestack corn (like a hybrid of corn and mac cheese so good), the whisky sour cocktail, and the 'espresso ' BBQ sauce. We want to go back another day and taste more of their amazing whisky menu.
