Came here twice during my short visit to the Nation's capital. Used to be a Paleo Cafe but still carry that theme now. Food is good here. Read some average reviews where peopke are comparing paleo dishes to its original version and this is simply not fair. Food is going to taste differently when it's not made the traditional way but what you get is a far healthier version which is still pretty good (just not the same). The Eggs Benedict on mushroom was very tasty with a delicious sauce and perfectly poached egg. I also had a chia cup and muesli on the 2nd day and that was excellent too and much better value. The butter coffee is not bad here, glad they had this option but to pay $7 for one which is small in size and then $3 for a powder upgrade boost is an outrageous rip off. Other places can do this for $5+$1-2. (Try Thr1ve, awesome Primal casual outlet) Sorry, you lost my business after that day and a point to your score. In summary, good food but food and beverages are far too expensive. The food is already polarizing, don't send your customers away for good with price.

Went here the other day for brunch. For a start the drinks were bad- I got a chocolate milkshake with coconut milk (the default option although we were offered dairy) and it was so bitter I couldn't take more than a couple of sips. My boyfriend got a salted caramel hot chocolate, which was drinkable but tasted like dates and salt. The smashed avo was quite nice (if overpriced), but the big breakfast was poorly done- overcooked and cold poached eggs and everything just a bit disappointing. I do really like that they have free range meats and vegetarian and dairy free options, and I'm sure some people appreciate the fact that it's paleo and gluten free (and the gluten free bread was surprisingly nice), but I can't see us coming back here.
I'm not saying the food is bad, it's just a bit bland for my liking. The meals definitely tasted healthy and I liked the simplicity of each paleoesque dish. The lamb burger was filling, however, it was largely tasteless - I feel like I could probably make the same thing at home (with more flavour) - although I guess it would be way unhealthier then. The sweet potato chips were great, I really enjoyed the crisp chips with the aioli sauce!
