This review of Outback Jacks may be affected by the fact that I am currently waiting for someone to come help me unlock my doors for the second time this month. Putting that aside, Outback Jacks is similar to other establishments such as Hog's Breath, Sizzlers, or Han's Cafe. I had never been before, but a flyer advertising their new lunch menu caught my attention. We ordered the croc burger and the $9.95 porterhouse, which wasn't listed on the menu but advertised on a chalkboard at the entrance. The service was friendly, although a bit slow with the water. The restaurant was busy, with the backdrop of typical Australian rock music setting the atmosphere. Both dishes came with delicious chips, a pleasant surprise after experiencing mediocre fast food for so long. The porterhouse was cooked to our liking, with a flavorful pepper sauce that was a nice change from the usual overpowering black pepper flavor. The croc burger was decent, with a crispy bun and flavorful patty, although the texture was a bit dense. Overall, the food was fine, the prices were reasonable, and we even had leftover chips to enjoy later. I believe Outback Jacks delivered on what they promised, earning them a solid 4-star rating.
We went to Outback Jacks Cannington for lunch on Sunday and we were treated to delicious steak! Outback Jacks is a chain steakhouse known for its big portion and great price of steak. Their menu is quite big and other than steak you can also find burgers, pasta, salad, chicken and ribs. The Outback Jacks Cannington has an open kids room where they can play with their toys or the provided Play Station and even watch any cartoon provided by the staff.
Outback Jacks is a great restaurant with attentive staff, making it the perfect place to bring kids for dinner. They offer a fantastic kids menu with a variety of choices, all of which come with ice cream. It would be even better if they included kid-sized drinks with the meal. The surf and turf dish was delicious and served hot with a generous portion of mash, but there was not enough sauce provided for the steak. As a result, the steak became cold and dry towards the end of the meal. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, but a bit pricey for families.
Good place to eat with your family. Always love place when is kids friendly. Service was good as well. Staffs are friendly enough. I love the steak, they are nice.
I was initially concerned due to negative reviews, but as they say, life is all about experiences! Mine was quite pleasant at ObJ. We decided to try something new and were impressed by the warm welcome we received upon arrival. Although it was our first time trying some unique dishes, the servers were calm and guided us through the menu. We ordered the Crocodile and Kangaroo skewers, which were tasty but a bit small in portion size. The crocodile meat was a bit rubbery, requiring some chewing, while the kangaroo had a lamb-like taste that was familiar in a pleasant way. We also tried the chicken and Garamundi fish burger, which were filling and delicious. The fish burger, in particular, stood out for its juicy and well-balanced flavors. Overall, it was a positive dining experience!
