Great meal, we enjoyed ourselves! However, we had a table at the very back with a view of the bar and the mess that goes with it and the sounds of the dishwasher running. Came to Castillon the day before to visit, we had lunch right across the street (great address!!! Which in the end I recommend! . Then having seen the menu, which looked tempting, we booked for dinner. Huge disappointment. There must have been 5 tables occupied, so we can hope that service will be fairly easy. Nay! We take your order and 5 minutes later the starters arrive and we ask you: “who took the ravioli?” .anyway, let’s move on to this detail! The starters are good and whet the appetite. But where we were left hungry was when the dishes arrived! Half a fillet of sea bass which had to be portioned at 100g (dish for €25 and a veal piccata (at a glance barely 80g (dish for €26 accompanied by 10 gnocchi. Who are we laughing at? The 2nd restaurant in Old Castillon has understood the code of profitability with tourist trap ratios. By reviewing the rules of respect for customers, there is no doubt that we could have had a good time there! Addition: 2 starters, 1 bar, 1 piccata, 1 dessert, 2 glasses of wine and 1 bottle of vittel: €112! A tad expensive for the service.
